After being low-balled by the LA Clippers with an offer less than what was given to Austin Rivers, veteran and current NBA Sixth Man of the Year Jamal Crawford has received offers from other interested teams.

It was reported that his good friend Isaiah Thomas has been courting him to join the Boston Celtics, and now the Philadelphia 76ers have reportedly offered Crawford a “significant” deal.

The 36-year-old Crawford has 16 years experience in the NBA and it is speculated that he could have received an offer from the 76ers upwards of a two year, $40 million deal.

Some may consider this to be a lot of money for a veteran of his tenure, but Crawford is still producing great stats. The three-time 6th Man of the Year averaged 14.2 points in 79 games for the Clippers this past season, shooting 40.4 percent from the field and 34 percent from three-point range.

The 76ers have been beefing up their front court acquiring the Celtics' Jerryd Bayless, versatile No. 1 overall draftee Ben Simmons, and 24th pick Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot. After all that, the 76ers still have $50 million to use.

Experienced Crawford would certainly be a great addition to the 76ers second unit and would provide the young squad with a much needed seasoned mentor. However, one league source is claiming that Philadelphia never actually made Crawford an offer.
