The Resident Evil Netflix animation series finally has a release date. We now know when we can watch Resident Evil Infinite Darkness on Netflix, and it's coming soon this Summer 2021.

Resident Evil Infinite Darkness Release Date: July 8, 2021

After the success of Resident Evil Village, fans left the game wanting more. Thankfully, we're about to get more Resident Evil goodness this Summer. The Netflix animated series featuring two of the series' most iconic characters, Resident Evil Infinite Darkness, comes to Netflix on July 8, 2021. While the animated series won't be connected to the story of Resident Evil Village, it does give us a dose of the old-school. A Character Trailer showed us how the character renditions will be like, and we're liking the animation made by studio Quebico so far. We've also learned that Resident Evil 2 Remake actors will reprise their roles as Claire and Leon here.

The new Official Trailer that dropped today revealed the release date for the animation. New official artworks also revealed two new characters for this show: Shen May and Jason. Both characters also appeared during the trailer, albeit not as extensively as Leon and Claire.

Resident Evil Infinite Darkness occurs in 2006, two years after Leon's adventures in Eastern Europe from Resident Evil 4. Leon still works closely with the President of the United States, this time investigating a strange hacking incident in the White House. Meanwhile, Claire works with TerraSave, a non-government organization against bioterrorism. She also happens to be in the White House trying to get hold of key people. The two protagonists were both in or near the White House when a new zombie outbreak happens. Now, it's up to Leon and Claire to save the day, using their experience from the 1998 Raccoon City incident to survive the chaos.

Resident Evil Infinite Darkness is produced by TMS Entertainment Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of SEGA Sammy Corporation.
