Resident Evil Village Gold Edition's The Mercenaries Additional Orders details have been revealed now as part of Winter's Expansion.

New details on the upcoming Resident Evil Village DLC have been revealed. As a recap, Resident Evil Village Gold Edition was announced last month, which also focused on the Shadows of Rose portion of the Winter's Expansion. Now, we get new details from Resident Evil Village Gold Edition and the DLC – The Mercenaries Additional Orders.

Mercenaries Mode has been a mainstay side-mode for multiple Resident Evil games, but many fans saw the Resident Evil Village Mercenaries Mode version to be lacking. Now, Capcom is looking to bolster the Mercenaries Mode of their latest Resident Evil title, to try to change that impression. Based on Capcom's official descriptions, Resident Evil Village Mercenaries Mode will be getting these two new playable characters:

  • Lady Dimitrescu looms large over enemies in this action-packed mode, where she brings her nine-foot stature to bear against any Lycans or other foes unfortunate enough to cross her path. In combat, Lady Dimitrescu builds a Thrill meter by slicing adversaries to ribbons with her razor-sharp talons. This allows her to perform special actions like slamming down hostiles or summoning her daughters.
  • Lord Karl Heisenberg possesses his own electrifying powers. Equipped with a massive hammer and the ability to manipulate magnetic currents, Heisenberg can really put a charge into his attacks. The terrifying creations from Heisenberg’s factory, Soldat Jets, also join him in the fray – but be mindful not to get caught in the crossfire of their self-destructive assaults. Heisenberg can also trade off movement speed to see what enemies are made of by pulling them in with his magnetic field or put on a show everyone can enjoy by slinging scrap metal, like saw blades, their way.
  • Chris Redfield also S.T.A.R.S. in “The Mercenaries Additional Orders.” The legendary BSAA agent packs a serious straight punch that can not only get him out of situations where he’s stuck between a rock and a hard place, but it also builds up his Onslaught gauge in a hurry as well. When Onslaught is active, Chris moves and reloads with lightning speed. Chris can also request support from the Hound Wolf Squad by using his target locator to pinpoint enemy positions and call in support strikes.

Chris Redfield's addition is obvious, as previous Mercenaries Mode included almost all possible protagonists, plus others who don't even show up in the game. What's surprising is the addition of Lady D and Heisenberg, whose inclusions will give a nice change of pace in Mercenaries Mode gameplay. With Lady D, not only will you have access to her razor-sharp talons, but you also get to see all the action from nine feet high. Heisenberg's electrifying powers and magnetic currents will surely make you feel powerful, but the inclusion of the Soldat Jets on the field will also make you feel

Apart from new characters, Resident Evil Village Mercenaries Mode will also get these new stages in the DLC:

  • Bloody Village
  • Bloody River

As previously announced, Resident Evil Village Mercenaries Mode along with the other DLC and the complete Resident Evil Village Gold Edition package will be coming to all platforms on October 28, 2022.
