The game between the visiting Milwaukee Bucks and the New York Knicks on Wednesday night ended with Giannis Antetokounmpo breaking a lot of hearts inside Madison Square Garden.

With the Knicks leading by a single point, the Bucks inbounded the ball to The Greek Freak with only 8.6 seconds left. He posted up Lance Thomas and made a few dribbles before stepping back for a fadeaway jumper that found its way to the hoop and straight through the net at the buzzer.

However, on the NBA's Last Two Minute Report released the following day, it was indicated that the shot should not have counted since Antetokounmpo committed a five-second violation prior it. The report explained that he began dribbling with his back to basket with 7.8 seconds left before he attempted the game-winner at the 2.2 second mark.

Despite the league admitting there was a lapse on the final play, it still won't overturn the result of the game and the Bucks' win still stands.

The Knicks may feel stripped off a victory, but they are also partly to blame for giving the Bucks a chance to win it at the buzzer as they squandered a 14-point lead in the second half.
