Since the early 2000s, former NBA veteran Richard “Rip” Hamilton has been one of the proudest endorsers of the Jordan Brand. Even if he’s now retired, he continues to represent the shoe and apparel giants, and rocks some of its iconic sneakers.

Recently, the former three-time All-Star took to his Instagram account to share a photo of the Air Jordan 11s, in a Detroit Pistons colorway. It’s believed to be a special player-exclusive version for him, as he had his best days as a pro with The Motor City team.

Hamilton played 14 seasons in the league, and won a championship with the Pistons back in 2004. He was part of the squad that featured Chauncey Billups, Tayshaun Prince, Rasheed Wallace, and Ben Wallace as their starters, and completed the upset against the heavily-favored Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals.

According to Sneaker Bar Detroit, the specially-made kicks will not be made available to the public, as Jordan Brand has already planned its retro releases for the next couple of years. However, it’s still nice to see that Hamilton continues to share photos of his rare shoes, especially those that were made for him by one of the most popular sneaker brands in the world today.
