With 2021 NFL free agency moving like molasses at some positions, former Pro Bowl defensive back and San Francisco 49ers veteran Richard Sherman is taking personal marketing matters into his own hands.

Though linked to the New Orleans Saints in some circles, and for good reason, Sherman tweeted his covering credentials on Wednesday afternoon — in what was a strong play of self worth.

From Richard Sherman:

Richard Sherman did play in the fewest games of his career in 2020, when an early-season calf injury sidelined him for all but five games. But a decade of dominance should speak for itself, and the near year off could be just the rest he needed.

He made the Pro Bowl in four straight seasons from 2013-16 and again in 2019 — his second in San Francisco — and has compiled 36 interceptions and 115 deflections in 10 years. And he's only 32, meaning he's likely got 3-to-5 more productive seasons under his belt.

One team not on his list? The 49ers, though not by his choice, apparently:

So where will one of the league's top secondary free agents land? Who knows? At this point, though, it could be Richard Sherman who breaks the news himself. He's certainly carving a lane for himself in making news.
