Richard Sherman is known for speaking his mind, and now he has his own outlet to do so.

Each week, Sherman releases video blogs for The Players' Tribune, covering a variety of topics. This week's edition was focused on player safety, and the NFL's lack of care for it.

Of course, football is an inherently violent sport, which Sherman acknowledges. But, he's concerned that business often trumps health for officials in the league, citing the first game of the season when Cam Newton repeatedly took blows to the head and wasn't treated for a possible concussion.

Here are some of the highlights from Sherman's monologue:

“You're going to get arthritis in your knees, you're going to probably have some stress in your back,” said Sherman, “your ankles are going to crack and pop all the time, and it's just things that come with the territory, decisions and sacrifices that you knowingly make coming into this game. But the NFL really (couldn't) care less.”

“We really don't have reason to trust the NFL and I don't think they mind either way.”
