Seven-time NBA champion Robert Horry made an appearance on ESPN’s The Jump on Monday, where he shared his very interesting take on some of the news surrounding the NBA. One of them is how the game has evolved, especially with the rule changes on fouls on three-point shots.

Big Shot Bob admitted that he seldom watches the games anymore, as it has turned into a free-throw shooting contest. He also pointed out that he lives in Houston, where Rockets guard James Harden led the league in that category this season. Horry believes that flailing of the leg on a three-pointer should be an offensive foul and it should not stop the flow of the game.

The ability to draw fouls while shooting from beyond the arc has turned into an art, which some players use to their advantage. It’s not only Harden that’s been receiving plenty of calls for it, as the likes of Stephen Curry and Jamal Crawford, just to name a few, have also mastered this trick.

Although it continues to be a controversial topic, it’s also difficult to go up against the belief of Horry, as it indeed slows down the game with the amount of free throws that have to be shot.

With the season almost over, Adam Silver and company are expected to revisit some of the rules that apply to the game today, and this particular play could also be reviewed due to the  amount of attention it has been receiving.
