Houston Rockets guard Austin Rivers says he thinks about Houston's Game 6 loss to the Golden State Warriors “all the time.”

Rivers says the Rockets didn't take advantage of Kevin Durant being out for the Warriors. Golden State defeated the Rockets in the second round of the playoffs. It was the second straight playoffs the Warriors eliminated Houston.

The Warriors were playing without their best player, Stephen Curry had zero points at halftime, and the Rockets still lost Game 6 at home. Curry erupted for 33 points in the second half to lead the Warriors to a comeback win.

All season long, the talk in Houston was if Chris Paul didn't get hurt in Game 5 of the 2018 Western Conference Finals, it would have been the Rockets in the 2018 NBA Finals instead of the Warriors. That's why this year's Game 6 loss was so tough for Houston to take. Everyone on the roster was healthy and they still couldn't get past the mighty Warriors.

Rivers becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer. He was a great midseason pick up after the Phoenix Suns waived him. Rivers averaged 7.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists in the 2019 postseason while shooting 43.5 percent from the field and 45.7 percent from the 3-point line.

Reports have surfaced recently that the Rockets are making everyone on the roster except for James Harden available in trade talks. We'll see if Houston GM Daryl Morey has interest in re-signing Rivers.
