Carmelo Anthony says he talked to Chris Paul and James Harden after Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey told him he wasn't going to be part of the team anymore.

Anthony asked Paul and Harden if they knew anything about what Morey was going to do. Anthony says both All-Stars said they didn't know the Rockets GM was going to exile him.

“I talked to him [Chris Paul], I called him and I called James [Harden] right away,” Anthony told Stephen A. Smith on ESPN's First Take. “I said look, just keep it 100 with me. Did you know anything about this? Because if you knew anything about this, now our friendship is on the line. Just keep it honest with me. He like nah I ain't know anything about this and James told me the same thing.”

Carmelo Anthony only played in 10 games with the Rockets before the franchise exiled him. Houston traded Anthony to the Chicago Bulls in January. The Bulls then waived Anthony in February.

Anthony averaged 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds with the Rockets while shooting 40.5 percent from the field, 32.8 percent from beyond the arc and 68.2 percent from the free-throw line. The 10-time All-Star hasn't played in an NBA game since November.
