The Houston Rockets have taken a slight tumble south over the last couple of weeks dropping five out of the last six games, including five in a row before topping the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night.

Despite these struggles, All-Star point guard Chris Paul voiced little concern about these issues persisting any further in the season, according to David Aldridge of NBA.com.

“We know what we have to do,” an unconcerned Paul said after the loss to the Washington Wizards on Friday. “We have to get it right. We’re not tripping, because we know how we play. I’m a big believer in building and winning. I said that a long time ago. You don’t need to learn stuff and lose. Learn stuff and win, and we done lost a few. All in all, we came out healthy. For us, that’s part of the process. We’re cool.”

The 32-year-old may have much belief in the Rockets working through their struggles as he had missed three out of those games that resulted in losses during that stretch. In fact, Houston has been quite successful with Paul on the floor losing just twice in the 18 games that he has played this season.

What has been most encouraging is that both he and Paul have worked well with each other together. Paul is averaging 17.2 points on 46 percent shooting from the field and 39.8 percent from beyond the arc along with 8.9 assists per contest.

The only concern that he will have at this moment is that Harden is dealing with a strained hamstring that he suffered on Sunday night against the Lakers. This will likely result in Paul handling the primary ball-handling duties while Harden is on the mend over the next several games. It is a minor setback, but this could be a huge opportunity for the All-Star guard to show his value to the Rockets' overall success this season.
