Houston Rockets point guard Chris Paul plans to play in Sunday's game against the Orlando Magic.
According to ESPN's Tim MacMahon, despite uncertainty at practice yesterday, but all signs point to CP3's return after a 17-game absence.

Paul, 33, has been sidelined with a sprained left hamstring injury, but he will look to get his feet back under him against the Magic.
Houston is 28-20, which doesn't quite compare to the tremendous success it had last season. However, The reigning league MVP James Harden has arguably had an even better scoring campaign up to this point.
The 29-year-old shooting guard has averaged 36.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 8.2 assists. He leads the NBA in scoring, and has once again surpassed his career-high in points with a recent 61-point performance against the New York Knicks.
Harden's production has managed to keep the Rockets afloat with the team's injuries this year, but now is as good of a time as ever for their nine-time All-Star ball handler to make his return.
In a season where the Western Conference's competitiveness has only ascended, the Rockets will look to feed off the energy from their 121-119 win against the Toronto Raptors on Friday.
As for the Magic, who've tried desperately to stay in the playoff conversation in the lopsided Eastern Conference, need to get busy winning before the Feb. 7 trade deadline. Going into Sunday's matchup at 20-29, Orlando should configure a plan on what exactly it wants out of this season.
Chris Paul is averaging 15.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 8.0 assists in his 14th season.
