Houston Rockets shooting guard Eric Gordon was enthused by the recent team bonding at the Bahamas, as teammate Chris Paul recently shared a photo of the 15 Rockets players in attendance for the event.

ā€œIt can help us a lot,ā€ Eric Gordon said of the activity, according to Mark Berman of Fox26. ā€œSomething like this can go a long way. It's all about how all of us have one goal and being around each other more. When you have good chemistry, those are the teams that always do well.ā€

The Rockets have put their foot forward prior to takeoff in training camp, ensuring their new addition, forward Carmelo Anthony has a stable relationship with all involved, unlike what he endured last season with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

ā€œHe's ready. He's in good shape. He's going to probably have to shoot more threes than ever,ā€ said Gordon of his new teammate. ā€œIt's going to take some small adjustments, just like how Chris (Paul) adjusted to shooting more threes, more than they normally do. I think we're as good as ever.ā€

Houston is hoping Melo's addition will prove the key piece to unlocking the Golden State Warriors' puzzle, falling a game shy of dethroning them and reaching the NBA Finals last season.

While it's still unknown if Anthony will be willing to come off the bench, he will have the opportunity to fight for the starting spot coming into training camp ā€” an opportunity he surely won't pass up.
