Houston Rockets shooting guard Eric Gordon will return tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers while his teammate Nene remains questionable for tonight's game, according to Jonathan Feigen of The Houston Chronicle.

Gordon has been trying to sweat out flu symptoms since the start of last week, but one couldn't tell as he railed back-to-back-to-back 26-plus-point performances in his last three games before sitting out on Saturday against the Memphis Grizzlies.

“It was just something that happened the day of the Charlotte game,” Gordon said. “Played through it and it got worse right after the game. Too tough for me to play against Memphis. I feel a little better. Still under the weather. I’m definitely playing tonight, that’s for sure.”

The Rockets expect his return tonight against a talented Sixers squad, while Nene still battles an Achilles injury. The Brazilian played 15 minutes on Saturday against Memphis, though it's not clear if he suffered a setback or is just dealing with soreness. Assuming it's the latter, the Rockets could possibly rest him, taking on Joel Embiid in a committee basis, as they did last game.

Gordon noted that while the team has had a few setbacks with key absences, it can only get better from here on out as point guard Chris Paul nears a return.

“I think we can only get better at this point,” Gordon said. “There’s a lot of things we haven’t done as well offensively. All we can do is pick it up. Guys are understanding their roles, understanding what we need to do. We’ll be fine. The best is yet to come.”
