Houston Rockets center Christian Wood accidentally threw a live ball right at an unsuspecting fan during their December 27 contest against the Charlotte Hornets.

The play was clearly accidental with Wood simply throwing an errand pass much higher than originally intended. The Rockets big man posted an Instagram story on the gaffe, admitting to his Shaqtin-a-fool worthy pass and offering the woman some courtside seats.

The woman didn't take too kindly to the Rockets player's response. Instead, she wanted a formal apology for what happened to her.

To say that not everyone took kindly to the woman's demands is putting it lightly. A handful of fans called her out for even making such a request, emphasizing that it was obviously unintentional. She was even lambasted by Robert Covington, a former Rockets player himself, on Instagram.

“Girl sit down 😑 you lucky he offered you tickets,” said the former Rockets wing. “That emoji had nothing to do with you”

Christian Wood also got some support from a few other athletes. Spencer Dinwiddie appropriately reacted with a single “😑” emoji. Even NFL legend Terrell Owens chimed in with support for the Rockets big and calling the woman a “Karen”.

“Man! I can’t,” said T.O. “An apology. She’s doing too much. Clearly it was an accident. #Karen

No word yet on if Christian Wood will try to make amends, but the Rockets big man clearly has the backing of some of his peers.
