For a moment, it looked as though the Houston Rockets had the Golden State Warriors on the ropes in Game 7. Unfortunately, they were unable to avoid the dreaded third quarter onslaught by Golden State en route to a second straight loss in the Western Conference Finals.

Needless to say, no one is perhaps more disappointed than shooting guard Gerald Green. However, he still managed to muster up a witty response to a reporter insisting on a more elaborate answer to his question.

As comical as Green's reaction was, it is hard not to sympathize with him. As a Houston native and Rockets die-hard growing up, he made it known that he felt an added responsibility to bring an NBA championship to the city.

Green was even coming off his best outing in the series in Game 6. However, he was unable to repeat that same production after scoring just three points on 1-of-7 shooting. That said, it is clear that his poor performance in the closeout game is the root of his anguish. Unfortunately, his shooting woes were indicative of the entire team as they missed a record 27-consecutive 3-point attempts.

Although it may not have been the result Green had wanted, there is still plenty of good to take away from the season. After coming up short in last year's Eastern Conference Finals with the Boston Celtics, he found himself as a free agent up until December of 2017. Although things ultimately worked out for the best, it will be interesting to see if the Rockets plan on keeping him around so he can fulfill his dreams for the city.
