Rockets botched 98% winning probability in final 32 seconds of 4th vs. Nets
According to ESPN’s Win probability graph, the Rockets botched 98% of their probability to defeat the Nets in the final 32 seconds of the game.
What makes it even worse for Houston, was that James Harden scored a season-high 58 points.
“Frustrating,” Harden told Kristie Rieken of the Washington Post. “Very frustrating.”
Harden has shown up in the 2018-19 season even more befitting of MVP honors than he was when he sheltered the award last year. As the trade deadline grows near, he is averaging 34.8 points, 8.6 assists, and 6.3 rebounds over 37.1 minutes played per game.
The 29-year-old guard also noted that the team got fatigued down the stretch, reason why they tossed up over 61 shots from deep, breaking their own record for attempts.
“A little bit,” he said. “We were small. You’ve got James (Nunnally) out there his first game and we had a couple of mistakes out there near the end. But give them credit, they made some big shots.”
Spencer Dinwiddie was the hero for Brooklyn in the end, scoring 25 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter and overtime.
