“Houston, we have a problem.”

Yep, a digital one.

The Houston Rockets' official Twitter account has been temporarily suspended for posting several Tweets with copyrighted music. The team has released an official statement regarding this matter, saying they are working things out to correct this problem as soon as possible.

“Our Twitter account has been temporarily suspended due to a few prior social media posts with copyrighted music. We are working to correct the issue now.”

As of Monday, the Rockets' Twitter account has roughly 2.9 million followers.

This isn't the first time that Houston had dealt with issues in relation to their Twitter activity.

Back in 2015, they had to fire their digital communications manager for what was deemed as an insensitive tweet during the time when they were about to eliminate the Dallas Mavericks in the playoffs. The team posted an emoji of a pistol pointed at a horse's head, a reference to the Mavericks' mascot, with the caption “Shhhhh. Just close your eyes. It will all be over soon.”

After the Rockets were eliminated by the Golden State Warriors from the playoffs, they have noticeably lay low. With the offseason still close to two months away, this minor Twitter issue is one of the few little things their fans can talk about at the moment.

As of this writing, the suspension on the Rockets' account hasn't been lifted, although it is expected to be back online within the next 24-48 hours.
