Elon Musk buying Twitter for a ridiculous amount of money has been the talk of the two recently. So much so, that the Houston Rockets' social media team came up with a clever way to voice their hope to secure the number one pick in the 2022 NBA Draft Lottery. It gained a ton of engagement and potentially fooled many into believing Musk actually tweeted this nonsense.

The image since has been changed, but the Rockets used Elon Musks' profile picture on Twitter and sent out this little dilly. This is something we see all of the time on Twitter. Many will pose as famous or well-known people, send and write a tweet, and it gains a ton of traffic fooling everyone into believing it is real. Houston made an interesting decision to follow through with this plan, but it was strictly a funny stunt from the social media team.

The worst is when some random person poses as Ian Rapoport during the NFL free agency and tweets out free agent updates as if they're real. At least the Rockets had fun with their tweet, as there was no news update. It's just a hilariously weird way for a franchise to express its desire for the top pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.

Perhaps the Rockets do in fact get their wish, as the NBA Draft Lottery takes place on May 17. Houston has a few young prospects on the roster with a ton of potential and landing the top pick could be huge for this organization. Acquiring a young superstar in the making is just what this team needs. No wonder Houston posed as Elon Musk on Twitter, as receiving the number one pick overall is the best-case scenario for this ball club.
