Is James Harden the greatest player in Houston Rockets history? It has yet to be decided, but his 17 50-point games create a strong case.

According to Yahoo Sports NBA, Harden has the most 50-point games in franchise history. The next on the list? Elvin Hayes, Moses Malone, Hakeem Olajuwon with two 50-point games each. Combined, ex-Rockets players only have eight 50-point games.

For this season alone, James Harden has eight 50-point games. His most recent one was a career-high tying 61-point explosion in a win over the San Antonio Spurs on March 22.

He leads the NBA averaging 36.5 points per night. This season pretty much established Harden as one of the most potent offensive gunners in NBA history. Among his scoring milestones include a 32-game streak of scoring at least 30 points — the second-longest streak behind Wilt Chamberlain's 65 games.

Everyone knows the 29-year-old's talents. However, no one saw it coming that he will display everything he got this year in particular. It pretty much shows how hungry Harden is for that elusive championship. Because of him, the Rockets have climbed back from the bottom of the standings to third in the Western Conference.

With the playoffs just around the corner, does Harden have more offensive tools up in his sleeve?
