James Harden has broken a lot of records and joined a lot of elite company as he tries to win the MVP award this year and, more importantly, lead the Houston Rockets to an NBA Title.
He joined another elite list on Saturday night when the Rockets beat the New Orleans Pelicans becoming just the third person in NBA history to have at least 2000 points and 500 assists in four consecutive seasons.

So far this season, Harden has played in 65 games, putting up 30.9 points, 8.6 assists, and 5.3 rebounds per game. He is shooting 44.8 percent from the field and 36.9 percent from deep.
For the Rockets, this team seems different from the years past because of the addition of Chris Paul. It doesn't all fall on Harden this year, and even if he has a bad game, Paul is usually there to pick up the slack.
The Rockets currently have a 59-14 record which is the best in the league and puts them 4.5 games ahead of the Golden State Warriors who are in second place.
For the Rockets and James Harden, there are just a few questions left to be answered. Is this team good enough to get past the Golden State Warriors and has James Harden done enough to win the MVP?
A lot of Harden supporters feel he actually had a better year last year than Russell Westbrook but because of the latter's triple-doubles, he was able to beat out the former.
The more times he gets his name up in the books with the likes of Oscar Robertson, LeBron James, and the likes, the better the chance he can take home that award.
