Houston Rockets superstar James Harden added another feather to his cap on Thursday night, as he led his team to a 127-113 win against the Boston Celtics.
Harden logged 45 big points against the C's, and in the process, became only the fifth player in the history of the league to amass at least 35 points in six straight contests:

Aside from a game-high 45 points, Harden also put up nine 3-pointers, two rebounds, six assists, and a block in 39 minutes of action. He went 11-of-26 from the field and 14-of-17 from the charity stripe.
Harden is having another monster year, averaging a league-leading 32.7 points (on 44.4 percent shooting), 4.5 3-pointers, 5.5 rebounds, 8.3 assists, 2.1 steals, 0.5 blocks, and 5.4 turnovers in 36.7 minutes per game of action.
After a slow start to the season, the Rockets are now in seventh place in the West with a 19-15 record. The victory over the Celtics was Houston's third straight and the ninth win in 13 games this month.
Chris Paul recently went down with a hamstring strain and isn't expected to be back until up to a month's time. Harden has picked up the slack in the absence of his backcourt partner, and the reigning MVP has pretty much carried the load for the team throughout the season.
With how amazing Harden has been thus far, he is certainly making a strong case for back-to-back MVP titles.
