Houston Rockets superstar James Harden continues to make history and establish himself as one of the best players to have ever played the game.
Monday against the Memphis Grizzlies, James Harden became the first player in NBA history to have at least 35 points and five assists in eight-straight games.

Entering Monday, James Harden was putting up stat lines that people put up in video games. During this historical run, Harden has scored 47 points, 35, 35, 39, 41, 45 and 41 entering Monday along with games of five assists, nine, 12, 10, seven, six and six, respectively.
Rockets All-Star point guard Chris Paul is out with a hamstring injury, so James Harden has had to enter take over mode and he's killing it. The NBA's leader in points per game is slowly making his way back into the MVP conversation as well, as Houston is starting to resemble an elite team again after getting off to a slow start to the season.
There are many people who don't like the way James Harden plays basketball, but the numbers speak for themselves. He's the best scorer in the game right now and has elite playmaking skills which make his teammates better.
