James Harden's phenomenal marksmanship from downtown continues this year, as the Houston Rockets superstar became just the eight player in history to connect on 2,200 career 3-pointers.

The Beard achieved the feat on Friday night against the Philadelphia 76ers at the Toyota Center.

Harden, who passed Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce for eight all-time in the career 3-points made list last month, is on track to move up as high as fifth place this season if he continues his 3-point barrage in the coming months.

The Rockets guard is set to pass Jamal Crawford and may very well catch Atlanta Hawks veteran Vince Carter, who has 2,258 makes (and counting), at sixth All-Time. Jason Terry is fifth all-time at 2,282, while another active player Kyle Korver is fourth at 2,403.

Entering the Rockets' match versus the Sixers, Harden still leads the league in made 3-pointers at 171 while draining 5.2 per game on a 38.3 percent shooting clip.

The seven-time All-Star is also in the MVP conversation for the third straight season, with averages of 38.2 points (league best), 5.8 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 1.8 steals in 33 games. His brilliance has allowed the Rockets to stay competitive in the stacked Western Conference, leading the team a 23-11 start (good for fourth place in the West).

James Harden will no doubt be regarded as one of the best 3-pointers in history when it's all said and done. With Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry out due to a broken hand, Harden has assumed the role as the deadliest sniper in the league today.
