Houston Rockets guard James Harden officially joins an exclusive company of elite marksmen, becoming only the ninth player in NBA history to make 2,000 career 3-pointers.
Harden entered Saturday's contest with the Sacramento Kings with 1,993 triples made. He finished the game with exactly seven 3-pointers to bring his tally to the landmark milestone.

James Harden joins five other active NBA players on the list. Stephen Curry, Kyle Korver, Vince Carter and Jamal Crawford all have more than 2,000 makes from downtown, along with NBA legends Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, Jayson Terry and Paul Pierce.
The reigning NBA MVP also recently moved to ninth on the all-time list for 3-pointers made, surpassing Jason Kidd in the process.
Harden needed 23 attempts from deep to reach the feat, but he was nonetheless unstoppable as he torched the Kings in their matchup. He finished with a monster triple-double of 50 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists — his fifth career 50-point triple-double.
Only on his 10th year in the NBA, Harden still has plenty of time to climb the NBA career ladder and further make history. It seems unlikely that he'd able able to beat Stephen Curry on the 3-point shooting list, but there's no doubt he'll go down as one of the best one to do it from beyond the arc.
