In 2015, Houston Rockets superstar James Harden had his No. 13 jersey retired by his alma mater, Arizona State. As it turns out, Harden's number is set to be un-retired this coming season, with the former league MVP giving his blessing to one Josh Christopher.

Christopher, a five-star recruit coming out of Mayfair High School, shared the news on his own Twitter account:

This isn't just any run-of-the-mill player we're talking about here. Jeremy Cluff of azcentral reports that Joshua is actually the most highly-touted player to ever recruited be by Arizona State — even more than Harden himself.

Christopher, a five-star guard from Lakewood, Calif., and Mayfair High School, is the highest rated recruit ever to land at Arizona State, rated No. 10 nationally by 247Sports.

Coincidentally, Harden is from Lakewood as well, so there is definitely a connection between the two. The Rockets superstar actually took to Twitter recently to talk up the high-profile prospect.

There's certainly a lot to get excited about for Arizona State supporters, as they appear to have recruited a budding star. After all, you don't call a superstar-caliber player like Harden to ask for his number if you weren't special. As it seems, Joshua is indeed special.

For those that might be wondering, Harden had a tremendous career during his time in Arizona State. In two years playing in the NCAA, he averaged 19.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists, en route to being selected third overall in the 2009 NBA Draft. So how high do we think Joshua will go once he enters himself to the draft? Only time can tell.
