After scoring 57 points on Wednesday against the Memphis Grizzlies, Houston Rockets superstar shooting guard James Harden has authored five of the six highest-scoring games this season.

Harden has scored the most points in a game this season. That came on Jan. 23 against the New York Knicks when The Beard put up a whopping 61 points at Madison Square Garden in the Rockets' win.

Charlotte Hornets All-Star point guard Kemba Walker has scored the second-most points in a game this season, putting up 60 points against the Philadelphia 76ers.

After Walker, it's all Harden.

James Harden is looking to lead the NBA in scoring for the second consecutive season and he is well on his way to doing that.

Harden entered Wednesday averaging 35.8 points per game. The reigning MVP has been scoring the ball at will all season for the Rockets and is going to go down as one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history.

A seven-time All-Star, Harden has scored at least 30 points against every team in the league this season. Milwaukee Bucks superstar swingman Giannis Antetokounmpo may be the front-runner to win the MVP award, but Harden is closing the gap as each game passes.

The Rockets unfortunately lost to the Grizzlies on Wednesday by a final score of 126-125 despite Harden's heroics.
