Houston Rockets superstar James Harden continues his ascent up the NBA's all-time career 3-pointers list, moving to the seventh spot on Saturday against the Los Angeles Lakers at the Toyota Center.

“The Beard” took over Jamal Crawford's seventh spot after nailing his 2,221st career 3-pointer. Up next on the list for the one-time MVP is Atlanta Hawks guard Vince Carter, who has made 2,264 and counting.

Apart from leading the league in scoring with a ridiculous average of 37.3 points to go along with 6.2 rebounds and 7.5 assists, Harden also has the most made 3-pointers so far, draining 195 treys entering Saturday's match versus the Lakers.

He is primed to lead the league in 3-pointers made for the second straight season, especially with Golden State Warriors “Splash Brothers” Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson out to injuries.

The 30-year-old megastar has all the green-light in the world in head coach Mike D'Antoni's offense, chucking up 13.4 3-point attempts per game while draining 5.0 of those attempts (37.3 percent).

With that rate he is going, Harden will likely break into the top-five before the season is over. The fifth spot is currently occupied by Jason Terry, who drilled 2,282 triples in 19 seasons.

James Harden can go to the line at will and his proficiency from downtown makes him one of the most unguardable players in the league today.

The Rockets, meanwhile, continue to live and die by the three-ball, hoisting up 44.3 treys per game with a 34.9 percent success rate. Their high-octane offense still gives opposing teams fits, as Houston holds a 26-14 slate (5th in the Western Conference). The team is currently in the midst of a two-game slide.
