Thanks in large part to reigning NBA MVP James Harden's season-high 57-point outburst, the Houston Rockets walked away from Monday night's game against the Memphis Grizzlies with a 112-94 victory. It was his 12th 50-point performance, which is one ahead of Allen Iverson and tied with LeBron James.

In 34 minutes of action against the Grizzlies, Harden scored 57 points on 17-of-33 shooting from the field (6-of-15 from beyond the arc and 17-of-18 from the free-throw line), nine rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Harden, who has racked up 50 points on three separate occasions this season, has been on an offensive tear. The Beard extended his streak of 30-point games to 17 by halftime of Monday's matchup, posting 36 in just two frames of play. According to ESPN, that's the longest such streak since Wilt Chamberlain had 20 straight games of at least 30 points in 1964.

Harden's streak of 40-point games now stands at 14, which is a franchise record. He's racked up 40 or more in eight of his last 11 outings.

“With the kind of games that you've been having lately, how do you handle the pressure of carrying the load and just the expectations that you set for yourself?” Harden was asked after Monday's game.

“It's no pressure,” Harden calmly replied. “I do this for a living. I have fun with it.”

The Rockets will be back in action on Wednesday night, when they'll welcome the Brooklyn Nets to town. Tip-off inside the Toyota Center is set for 8:00 p.m. ET.
