Houston Rockets superstar guard James Harden has reached 20,000 points for his career.

Harden entered Saturday's matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves with 19,990 career points:

Love him or hate him, there’s no denying James Harden is a scoring machine the likes of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

The Rockets traded Jeremy Lamb, Kevin Martin, a 2013 1st round pick (Steven Adams was later selected), a 2013 2nd round pick (Alex Abrines was later selected) and a 2014 1st round pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Harden. It’s safe to say Houston won the trade.

This season (entering Saturday), Harden is putting up 37.9 points, 6.0 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game. The seven-time All-Star is shooting 45.2 percent from the field, 37.6 percent from beyond the arc and 86.4 percent from the free-throw line.

The Rockets are 25-12 on the season (entering Saturday), good for fifth place in the Western Conference standings.

For the third consecutive season, Harden is leading the NBA in scoring. The Rockets star already has one 60-point game this season and has scored at least 50 points five times.

Harden averaged 37.3 points, 6.9 assists and 5.6 rebounds per game as the Rockets went 10-5 last month. The former MVP was named the Western Conference Player of the Month.

The Rockets, led by Harden and Russell Westbrook, will try and prevent an all LA matchup from happening in the Western Conference Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers.
