James Harden is excited about his newest teammate, Carmelo Anthony. Melo's signing has been expected for weeks, but the former All-Star forward and Houston made the deal official on Monday. Harden tweeted out his excitement after the news broke.

It will be interesting to see how Harden and Anthony jell on the court. Anthony is certainly on the downslope of his career and is not the ball-dominant scorer he once was. He's much better off as a spot-up shooter and a stretch 4.

But he could be perfect in that role alongside the reigning MVP. Harden attracts so much attention from defenses and has become an incredible passer out of the pick-and-roll. Anthony should benefit from a ton of open looks off of Harden drive and kicks.

Not to mention, Chris Paul is an incredible point guard who should be able to put Melo in excellent positions to succeed. Whether Melo is on the court with Harden or Paul, he should have ample opportunities to knock down open looks.

Add in the fact that Clint Capela is one of the best bigs in the pick-and-roll in the league, and this Houston offense looks scary good. Capela's gravity as the roll man is essential to Houston's offense as it helps draw help defenders into the lane. This frees up looks from beyond the arc.

It's unknown whether or not Melo will come off the bench in Houston, but regardless, he'll be one of the most important pieces on a team that is hoping to knock off the Warriors.
