In a much-anticipated start to the series, the Houston Rockets fell short in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Golden State Warriors. It was a contest that featured James Harden leading the charge offensively for his team with a game-high 41 points in the tough loss.

The Rockets are now faced with potentially dropping a quick 0-2 hole in the series before it heads to Oracle Arena for Games 3 and 4. Given that possibility, Harden voiced on Tuesday morning the importance of getting his teammates' confidence up to help push them to a much-needed win in Game 2, according to Kelly Iko of ESPN.

“I got to give my team the best opportunity and chance to win the game. Last night wasn't enough and so I got to keep our guys swag up to that same energy that we have been having all season long. Tomorrow is going to be even tougher, but this is what we are here for.”

It has become quite clear that it will take more than just Harden putting together a huge scoring night to help lift his team past the offensively-stacked defending champions. This will require other players on the team aside from himself and Chris Paul to get the edge over Golden State.

In Game 1, the Rockets had just four players in double figures while the team shot just 35.1 percent from beyond the arc while committing 16 turnovers and had just three fast-break points in the loss. There has to be a stronger collective effort in order to counter the combined offensive prowess of the Warriors' four All-Stars on any given night.

This sets the stage for what should be another highly competitive game where they should plenty of offensive fireworks between two of the most explosive scoring teams in the league. All of this puts more of a spotlight of pressure for Harden to lead his team in more ways than just his own performance on the court that will be put to the test on Wednesday night.
