Houston Rockets superstar James Harden understands the risks of playing basketball again at the bubble games in Orlando, Florida.

The former MVP, however, is willing to do “whatever it takes” to make the games at Walt Disney World safe for everyone, per Kelly Iko of The Athletic.

Iko also reports that Rockets star point guard Russell Westbrook has been heavily involved in finding out what exactly the players will and won’t be allowed to do in the NBA's return-to-play plan.

Multiple reports have stated that some NBA players are worried about contracting COVID-19 and aren't comfortable with being away from their families and stuck in isolation.

Another thing to consider is what exactly the players will and won’t be allowed to do once they’re inside the complex. Among the Rockets, Russell Westbrook has been heavily involved in those discussions. Considering the sheer health risk involved in carrying out this plan, the league has to be extra careful on such protocols, but members of the roster — notably James Harden — are willing to do “whatever it takes” to make Orlando as safe as possible for the players.

The Rockets were in sixth place in the Western Conference standings before the 2019-20 season was suspended in March. Houston had 40 wins and 24 losses.

Harden was averaging 34.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 7.4 assists in 61 games. He was once again leading the NBA in scoring for the third consecutive season.

Meanwhile, Westbrook was putting up 27.5 points, 8.0 boards and 7.0 assists in his first season with the Rockets.

Both Harden and Westbrook want to play again since the Rockets have a good shot of winning the title. However, it is evident there are a few more hurdles to clear before the NBA can guarantee games will resume in Orlando this July.
