Perhaps there is a future in Houston. If nothing else, there's at least a hum of fun and excitement in the city for the Houston Rockets, especially after a brilliant play from John Wall and Christian Wood.

Here's the clip of Wall finding Wood from behind with an epic pass:

Woof.

It looks like the Rockets made the right call by nabbing Christian Wood from the Detroit Pistons this past offseason. The potential he flashed in Motor City has flourished during his short time in Houston, as the big man is averaging career highs in every single major counting stat, as well as 3-point percentage. It looks like the Pistons are learning about that potential the hard way.

As it turns out, dunking isn't the only thing that the Rockets big man can do. His age (25) indicates that he still has a ceiling to hit over the next couple of years, and if plays like the one above become a regularity, it looks like Houston won't be out of the spotlight long.

After all, they are saddled with John Wall's massive contract for the next few years, so why not have fun with it? It looks like Wall and Wood are.

Rockets fans, get your jerseys now. If this play is any indication, the team is poised to blast off, and soon.
