Kevin Porter Jr. received some backlash for his performance during the Houston Rockets' loss to the Boston Celtics on Sunday, and sure enough, the young guard has heard all the hate.

However, KPJ is not letting the criticisms discourage him. In fact, it's the opposite as he looks more motivated than ever. That's clear with his latest tweet, promising that he'll be “better” while telling the critics to have the same energy when he leads the Rockets to a victory.

Kevin Porter Jr. admittedly didn't have the best game against a struggling Celtics team, who got its first win at the expense of the Rockets. Jalen Green exploded for 30 points for Houston, but his efforts were not enough as Porter struggled all night long.

The former Cleveland Cavaliers guard scored 15 points on 5-of-12 shooting. He also had three rebounds and three assists in roughly 37 minutes of play, but it was his turnovers that doomed the Rockets. He gave the ball away eight times, which gave the Celtics several opportunities to take control of the contest–which they did.

Despite the criticisms, though, it is certainly a good thing that Porter is using them as a fuel to improve. The Rockets are in a rebuilding process, and as much as possible, they want Porter and Green to grow quickly and experience the highs and lows of a season to prepare them for bigger roles in the future.

By the looks of it, Porter is handling it really well.
