The LeBron James free agent saga appears to have taken another turn. This time, the turn leads towards Houston, as James has reportedly been spotted making the rounds in private schools around the Texan city.

The news was broken by renowned New York Times best-selling author and Houston Rockets supporter Ross Bolen.

This contradicts recent reports claiming that James had already enrolled his kids in a private school in L.A., in anticipation of his offseason move to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Rockets have made no secret of their desire to acquire the services of James. This comes on the heels of their Game 7 defeat at the hands of eventual champions Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals.

Chris Paul, who unfortunately missed the final two games of the Warriors series due to a hamstring injury, has been one of the biggest advocates of the LeBron-to-Houston movement. After teaming up with MVP front-runner James Harden last summer, the Rockets formed one of the most formidable backcourts in NBA history.

As it turns out, this was not enough to overpower the Warriors. Paul, Harden and the Rockets believe that James is the final piece that will complete their puzzle. It would be hard to argue against this belief.

With several teams circling in on LeBron, the Rockets were not considered to be the favorites to land the superstar. At best, they were behind the Lakers and the Philadelphia 76ers in the race.

However, if this latest bit of information turns out to be more than just a rumor, Houston has just catapulted themselves to the top of the list.
