Houston Rockets head coach Mike D'Antoni believes Rockets fans “will appreciate the intensity” Russell Westbrook plays with on a nightly basis.

Westbrook is arguably the most passionate player in the NBA. He leaves it all on the floor every night.

Russell Westbrook has averaged a triple-double three seasons in a row. He won the 2017 MVP award over his new teammate, Rockets star James Harden. Houston fans are excited and anxious to see what Westbrook and Harden are going to look like together.

This past season with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Westbrook averaged 22.9 points, 11.1 rebounds and 10.7 assists. The eight-time All-Star had a 20-20-20 game as well. He truly is one of the most unique superstars in NBA history and will bring a lot to the table to the Rockets in 2019-20.

With Westbrook in the fold, the Rockets are title contenders. It's up to Mike D'Antoni now to get the best out of Harden and Westbrook, which is easier said than done since both stars are ball-dominant players. It's going to be a fascinating dynamic all season in Houston.

The Western Conference is all about dynamic duos now. The Los Angeles Lakers have LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Los Angeles Clippers have Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, and now the Rockets have James Harden and Russell Westbrook. It's going to be a fun season in 2019-20.
