Houston Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni and his wife have donated $100,000 to the local COVID-19 Recovery Fund.

The Rockets coach spoke to Mark Berman of Fox 26 about the donation:

“The city of Houston, everybody right now is in the same boat. We’re trying to help out where we can. When you go to war, you go to war. The whole community has to band together and do what we can do.”

The NBA suspended the season two weeks ago after Utah Jazz All-Star big man Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19.

Thus far, no one on the Rockets has come down with an illness which has required further testing.

Every morning, Rockets players are required to take their temperatures when they wake up and text a photo to Keith Jones, the team’s executive VP of basketball operations and a longtime athletic trainer, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Rockets were in sixth place in the Western Conference standings before play was suspended. Houston has a record of 40-24.
