Rookie Lu Dort of the Oklahoma City Thunder put up a monster performance in Game 7. So much so that the Thunder nearly booted out the Rockets and gave head coach Mike D'Antoni three heart attacks.

After eking out a Game 7 win on what has been a thrilling first-round series, D'Antoni joked that Dort's offensive display gave him three heart attacks.

In Game 7, Dort dropped 30 points on 10-of-21 shooting, 6-of-12 from deep, and 4-of-6 from the free-throw line. This is his most productive game from the offensive end in the series, after mightily struggling in the first few games.

Lu Dort shot just 30 percent from the field Game 2, 3, and 4, respectively. Come Game 5, Dort shot a horrendous 18.8 percent from the field. In Game 6, Dort showed up by chipping in 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field and 2-of-6 from deep.

So it was understandable that the Rockets sagged off him in Game 7. But then, Dort kept on knocking down shots. Despite his rather awkward shooting form, his Thunder teammates — especially Chris Paul — kept on telling him to shoot when he's open.

And after knocking down shot after shot, D'Antoni and the Rockets had no choice but to respect his jumper. Dort simply had the stroke that night. And the only way to stop him was to put him on top of the priority list.

Unfortunately, the Dort's efforts weren't enough to help the Thunder advance to the next round. Despite this, he has gained the respect of everyone in the league both as a stellar defender and a capable offensive gunner.
