The Houston Rockets have jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in their first-round Western Conference playoff series against the Utah Jazz, thumping the Jazz by 22 points in Game 1 and following that up with a 20-point win in Game 2.

Utah point guard Ricky Rubio has been impressed by how the Rockets have looked in the first half of the series, saying they look like they can win a title this year:

“They made it to Game 7 of the (Western Conference Finals) last year and they want more. You can tell,” said Rubio, according to Jenny Dial Creech of The Houston Chronicle.

On their way to the Western Conference Finals a year ago, the Rockets met the Jazz in the second round of the playoffs, dispatching them in five games in the first round.

However, Utah was actually able to steal a game in Houston in that series, taking Game 2.

The Jazz had no such luck this time around.

Rubio has had a decent series thus far, finishing with 15 points, six assists, three rebounds and a couple of steals in Game 1 and totaling 17 points, nine assists, four boards and four steals in Game 2, but, obviously, it has not been nearly enough.

Meanwhile, Rockets star James Harden has been sublime thus far, recording 29 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds in Game 1 and posting a triple-double with 33 points, 13 boards and 10 dimes in Game 2.

Harden has also gone 10-of-23 from three-point range thus far.

The Jazz will play host to the Rockets in Game 3 of their series on Saturday night.
