Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown has some high praise for Houston Rockets superstar James Harden.

Brown, whose Sixers take on Harden and the Rockets on Friday, thinks Harden “may be the greatest scorer in the history of our game.”

Love him or hate him, there’s no denying Harden is a scoring machine the likes of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

The Rockets traded Jeremy Lamb, Kevin Martin, a 2013 1st round pick (Steven Adams was later selected), a 2013 2nd round pick (Alex Abrines was later selected) and a 2014 1st round pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Harden. It’s safe to say Houston won the trade.

This season, Harden is putting up 38.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game. The seven-time All-Star is shooting 46.1 percent from the field, 38.3 percent from beyond the arc and 86.0 percent from the free-throw line.

The Rockets are 23-11 on the season, good for fourth place in the Western Conference standings.

For the third consecutive season, Harden is leading the NBA in scoring. The Rockets star already has one 60-point game this season and has scored at least 50 points five times.

Harden averaged 37.3 points, 6.9 assists and 5.6 rebounds per game as the Rockets went 10-5 last month. The former MVP was named the Western Conference Player of the Month.

The Rockets, led by Harden and Russell Westbrook, will try and prevent an all LA matchup from happening in the Western Conference Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers.
