Victor Oladipo continues to shine as a new member of the Houston Rockets. He looks excited to play basketball again and is flourishing with his new teammates on the floor. It was an impressive win for the Rockets as a whole as they defeated the Portland Trailblazers, 104-101.

Oladipo recorded 25 points on 11/23 shooting from the field. He was a force on both ends and even took on the challenge to play solid defense late in the fourth quarter. Since Oladipo’s debut for Houston, the team has gone 3-2 in the five games that he has played. He may not be the caliber force that James Harden was, but Oladipo is surely making his impact known in the Rockets organization.

During the postgame, Oladipo had the opportunity to speak with the Inside the NBA crew. During his interview, he expressed his feelings on how people quit on him while he was on his journey returning from his gruesome leg injury. The doubt that Oladipo has gotten from various critics seems to motivate him to play at a higher level. Since the transition to Houston, Oladipo is proving that he belongs in the conversation as one of the prolific players in the NBA.

The goal for Houston is to continue to improve. Led by an abundance of Oladipo, John Wall, Christian Wood, and others, they have an opportunity to prove doubters wrong. There is still a lot of basketball to play through the course of the season. Oladipo will continue to play with a chip on his shoulder through the process.
