The Houston Rockets have extended center Donatas Motiejunas a multi-year offer, consisting of a fully-guaranteed $7 million salary for his first year, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.

Motiejunas is still a restricted free-agent after letting his $4.4 million qualifying offer expire. Incentives can take the team's latest offer into an $8 million range, per Stein.

This comes months after the Rockets attempted to trade Motiejunas along with Marcus Thornton to the Detroit Pistons as part of a three-team trade back in February. The trade was soon voided after D-Mo was unable to pass the physical, resulting in a refund policy situation and a very-much awkward rest of the season.

The 7-footer has been injury-riddled throughout last season, only making 37 appearances and scoring a disappointing 6.2 points per game average, after a promising 2014-15 season that saw him get on the board at a 12 points-per-game clip.

While it's certainly a risk for the Rockets, the upside is there is he can keep healthy, providing the luxury of a big man that can shoot and stretch the floor as far as the three-point line.
