The Houston Rockets shocked the NBA world on Wednesday when they traded power forward Christian Wood to the Dallas Mavericks. In return, the Rockets landed the 26th pick, Boban Marjanovic, Trey Burke, Marquese Chriss and Sterling Brown. They now have three picks in the first round of the upcoming NBA Draft.

The Rockets have the number three, 17 and 26 picks and are reportedly inquiring to move into the top two. The Ringer's mock draft detailed what that could look like, along with their potential target.

Houston currently has 17 players on their roster. They are certainly going to look to make some trades ahead of or during the draft. If they can move up to the number two draft slot, it likely would allow them to get the most NBA ready player, Paolo Banchero.

Banchero has the body type and offensive skills needed to make an immediate impact at the next level. During his lone season at Duke, Banchero averaged 17.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists with a steal and a block per game. He was pretty efficient also, knocking down almost 48 percent of his shots from the floor.

Last season, Rockets rising star Jalen Green showed that he is capable of being a cornerstone of the Houston franchise. But in today's NBA, you need at least two stars to win games in this league. Both Banchero and Green can play with or without the ball and would look good together on that end of the floor.

However, the Duke product needs to work on his footwork defensively. One thing is certain, the Rockets have a ton of assets and young players and if they make the right moves, could have a bright future.
