The Houston Rockets are far from done when it comes to making roster changes this offseason. After sending Christian Wood to the Dallas Mavericks, it looks like Eric Gordon is on the move next.

According to NBA insider Marc Stein in his latest reporting via Substack, the Rockets are now looking to move Gordon next in search for a first-round draft pick like they did with Wood. To recall, Houston received the Mavs' 26th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft in exchange for the big man.

Per Stein: After trading Christian Wood to Dallas, now Houston is trying to find a deal for Eric Gordon, with the Rockets widely known to be seeking a first-round pick for Gordon like they managed in the Wood deal.

Interestingly, it is worth noting that the Rockets are also reportedly looking to move up the upcoming draft. While they do have the no. 3 pick, they also own the 17th and 26th picks. Perhaps trading Eric Gordon and their two other first-rounders could help them move up?

It remains to be seen what the Rockets will get should they trade Gordon, though it seems quite certain that his days with the team is numbered. As Houston continues to rebuild and get their younger guys more playing time come the 2022-23 season, the other veterans in the team could end up moving as well.
