Houston Rockets veteran Eric Gordon is generating interest from other teams. With the NBA trade deadline approaching, the shooting guard appears to be turning a number of front office executives' heads with how he's been stroking it from the field this season, and Houston seems to have already named a price for the former Indiana Hoosiers star, per Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype.

Eric Gordon, 33, is shooting career-highs from the field (.505) and three-point range (.455) after two injury-riddled seasons. With Gordon healthy and adding a needed veteran presence to a rebuilding Rockets team, Houston is seeking a first-round pick in trade talks for the veteran scoring guard, league sources told HoopsHype. Several playoff-caliber teams are monitoring Gordon, as noted on a recent episode of the HoopsHype podcast.

The 33-year-old Gordon signed a four-year extension deal with the Rockets back in September 2019, though the last year of that contract (202-23 NBA season) is not fully guaranteed.

Gordon has been shooting the lights out this season. He has never finished a season in his career in the NBA with a true shooting percentage better than 60%, but he is on his way to accomplishing that feat if he sustains his current form. So far this season, Gordon owns a 64.4 TS%, thanks mainly to his scorching 45.5 percent shooting from behind the arc and a 50.5 percent shooting from the floor.
