Last night, Houston had no problems whatsoever from long distance as their three-point barrage catapulted them to the NBA record books.
In their 122-100 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans, the Mike D’Antoni-influenced team stayed true to its coach’s philosophy, making it rain threes all over Toyota Center as they hoisted long bombs one after the other as if their life depended on it.
The @HoustonRockets also set a regular-season record Friday for made threes (24) https://t.co/jCkeSFHkfL

Furthermore, Houston’s 31 three-point attempts in the first half and 61 for the entire game also set NBA records. New Orleans was just in the wrong place at the wrong time as they went up against a team that seemingly escaped a video game.
Eric Gordon, James Harden, and Trevor Ariza did most of the damage for the Rockets from deep with seven, six, and five successful conversions respectively.
The team now owns the NBA’s fourth best winning percentage with their 20th win in 27 games.
