James Harden of the Houston Rockets is no stranger to brutal crossovers that send defenders flying. On Monday night, his newest victim was New York Knicks point guard Dennis Smith Jr., who was left on his rump after Harden shook with a crossover:

Now, detractors of the Rockets superstar might state that the MVP candidate shouldered Smith Jr. out of the way illegally. But it seems that referees in this game opted to turn the other way – perhaps because it made a better highlight that way.

Admittedly, the refs aren’t on that front as this ankle-breaker was not quite Harden’s best — that would be the iconic Wes Johnson stare-down — but Harden does get enough time after dropping Smith Jr. to give him a cursory glance to show his dominance.

Though The Beard has cooled of late after a torrid start, the 30-year-old is still leading the league in scoring at 35.2 points per game.
