The Houston Rockets are going to be a huge threat come playoff time as they have an MVP hopeful that is leading them to victories in close games. James Harden is the main man of this Rockets team and he is ready for any opportunity given to him.

With the game on the line Thursday night, Harden did not shy away from the opportunity to put the game to rest. In a close contest with the L.A. Clippers, Harden worked his magic and hit a clutch shot over Austin Rivers.

With less than 35 seconds left in the 4th quarter, Rockets up by two, Harden decided to go one-on-one against Rivers, and the All-Star drained the fadeaway away shot. With emotions running wild after the basket, Harden can be seen saying:

“He wouldn’t even step up. I like him. I like him.”

The confidence is all there for the star of Houston as the Rockets would end up winning this game by the final score of 101-96. A championship potential team has leaders who can help both on and off the court, but more importantly hit shots that matter the most.

Harden would finish the game with 24 points, seven assists, and five rebounds.  He's able to score often and do it so efficiently in any given time. Harden is an elite player and will school on any player that is willing to take on the challenge.

Perhaps this sequence starring Harden will lay to rest any perceived rivalry between these two teams because of a past heated encounter.
