Remember the season Stephen Curry had during the Golden State Warriors' 73-win campaign in 2016? Well, that is the kind of run Houston Rockets star James Harden is on right now.

He continued his dominance on Wednesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks, dumbfounding George Hill with a pair of unreal step-back jumpers and shaking his head toward the Bucks bench after the second one:

Gotta love Harden's smile, as if he didn't even know how he drained both of those shots.

What Harden has been doing lately is absolutely insane.

He dropped five straight 40-plus-point games from Christmas Day through Jan. 3, topping out at 45 points in a win over the Boston Celtics on Dec. 27. He also racked up six 40-point outings in December overall, including a 50-point outburst in a victory over the Los Angeles Lakers back on Dec. 13.

Overall this season, the reigning MVP is averaging a league-best 33.7 points per game to go along with 8.7 assists, 5.9 rebounds and a career-high two steals over 37.2 minutes per game while shooting 43.6 percent from the floor, 38.6 percent from three-point range and 85.1 percent from the free-throw line.

Harden is aiming for back-to-back scoring titles, as he paced the NBA with 30.4 points per game a year ago.

As Harden has been going, so have the Rockets, as Houston has won 12 of its last 14 games to go from 11-14 and looking like a major disappointment to 23-16 and returning to prominence in the Western Conference.

Oh, and the Rockets have been doing most of this without Chris Paul, who injured his hamstring in a loss to the Miami Heat back on Dec. 20.
